Overview

  • Call Time: 10:45 AM in the Green Room (Morning View Word Church) 

  • Sound Check: 11 AM in front of the Main Stage in the park

After sound check, you can choose to either stick around, enjoying the festival and relaxing in the green room as needed -or- leave and return at the following times. You must check in at the Green Room by the times listed below, fully dressed and ready to perform: 

  • 1:15PM | Alysha Monique 

  • 2:15PM | Matt, Monica and Citypoint Worship Collective 

  • 4:00PM | Shaundric, M.E.R.C. and Bella Bahhs

  • 5:30PM | Jessica, Manasseh, Kristen and Shantina

What to Know

Rehearsal

Rehearsal will take place on two occasions.

  • Tuesday August 26th | Citypoint Community Church 4338 S Priarie Ave Chicago, IL – This rehearsal is for the band to solidify what they are playing. Music Curators (Micah, Monica, Matt, Shaundric, and Jessica) are asked to attend to guide the band, give direction as needed, and mark music. 

  • Tuesday, September 2nd | Citypoint Community Church 4338 S Priarie Ave Chicago, IL – This rehearsal is for all talent to perform and run through the entire show. All artists are asked to attend this rehearsal. 

The rehearsal schedule for both days will be as follows: 

  • 5PM | Dance Rehearsal 

  • 6PM | Band Arrive + Sound check 

  • 6:30PM | Soul Segment (Jessica) 

  • 7:15PM | Jazz Segment (Micah) 

  • 8:00PM | Gospel Segment (Monica and Matt) 

  • 8:45PM | Hip Hop Segment (Shaundric)

Attire

While there is not a strict dress code, we ask that all participants consider attire that will look good on video, elevated stages (e.g. views from below), and avoid any clothing with statement text (shirts with text on the front) unless it is the incorporation of the Black and Bronze official tshirt. It is a family friendly event so we ask that everyone also keep that in mind in terms of attire. 

  • Manasseh: Yellow and Denim

  • Kristen: Orange and denim 

  • Shantina: hot pink and denim

  • Primo, M.E.R.C. and Bella Bahhs: Red, white, and denim 

  • Monica, Matt, and Citypoint Worship Collective: Royal Blue, white and denim (sparingly) 

  • Micah & Alysha: Green is your color!

Point of Contact

On the day of, when you arrive in the morning for sound check, please report to the main stage, but when preparing to head to the stage to perform later in the day, please check in at the green room at Morning View to be escorted to the stage.

Signaling For More In Your Monitors

During sound check and your performance, should you have any issues hearing yourself, please use the following signal to cue to the sound team that you need more in your monitor: Tap your right ear with two fingers (index and middle finger) 3 times. 

There will be a variety of perfomances taking place onstage during the event. The band will not move its placement onstage for the duration of the event, but mics will be moved by the sound production company between acts to the appropriate places onstage.
