EMERGENCY EXIT PLAN

EMERGENCY EXIT PLAN

In the event of a major evacuation:

NW & SE Exits

Ose Jackson and those staffing the entryways should immediately remove any banners blocking openings between bollards at the southeast and northwest corners of the park.

NE Exit

Ariel and volunteers near the health and wellness area should remove barriers to exit from the northeast corner of the park.

SW Exit

Volunteers manning the Talent and Media only entry should remove the A Frame sign and allow for easy exits from the southwest corner of the park.

Eastside Adjacent Property

Stefanie Moore (773) 844-7492 and Shayla Woodard (313) 844-1233 along with supporting volunteers should lead attendees one of two ways: if the north gate alongside Carter G. Woodson Elementary is open at the time, then they should direct traffic through that gate. If it is not open, then they should direct traffic near food trucks through the opening in the fence to then access the NE exit by Ariel and her volunteers.

Security

Security will assist in guiding people to evacuate. The collective committee, volunteers, talent and interns should then proceed by car or on foot to Citypoint Community Church to convene safely and debrief/take action as needed.
